Tights

Tights (also called pantyhose, especially in American English, when transparent or sheer) are a type of fabric leg covering, usually extending from the waist to feet, and fitting as tightly as possible to the body (from which the name derives). Leggings are fashionable but informal women's legwear, and unlike tights do not cover the foot. Athletic tights are typically footless, made of more robust materials and conventionally considered appropriate for all genders.

Fashionable tights, in British English, refers generally to legwear that includes the foot. In American English, the word is only used if the legwear is opaque and non-sheer; otherwise the term pantyhose is used. In an American context, the term pantyhose would typically be used if the garment is intended for office or formal wear. Except in very informal settings, skirts and dresses are conventionally worn with hosiery such as pantyhose in a Western context.

Tights gradually replaced stockings beginning in the 1960s. Tights were more practical by avoiding garters and a garment such as a girdle that hold the garters up. In addition, the miniskirt fashion of the latter 1960s tended to reveal garters, which at the time was considered unfashionable and hastened the adoption of tights.

In an individual sense, skin-tight garments are often considered sexy on an attractive body, as they allow the exhibition of the natural curves of the form. People who are on the look out for a mate often start wearing clothes that are tighter.00

Skin-tight garments are fetishized by some people, perhaps on the basis that the garment forms a "second skin" that acts as a fetishistic surrogate for the wearer's own skin. When this happens, they become fetish clothing for that person. Skin-tight garments are often a person's first sight of the body's sexy curves, and this mind imprint can easily develop into a fetish in later life. The most common forms of this are spandex fetishism and rubber fetishism, in which the skin-tight material is also shiny.

A good alternative between spanking fully clothed and spanking bare-bottomed is making the spankee wear tights. They make a good view for the spanker and still protect the skin to some degree. When used for this purpose, tights become an item of spanking clothing. There is always the option of pulling down the tights to spank bare bottom.

Fishnet tights

Fishnet tights are tights with an open, diamond-shaped knit. Fishnet is generally considered to be a sexy garment and may serve as a component of sexual fetishism.
