Why is it that we also have a Category:Companies page and a Category:Video producers page, both with nearly identical lists as this page? Plus, the three lists are not consistent, but should be the same. I find this a tad confusing. Wouldn't it be better to redirect here to the List of Spanking Video Producers site and update it so all the companies are on the same page? -- Jameslovebirch 23:08, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Being in category does not count as a page link to it, for Orphaned pages purposes. where as the List page does. the list page also proves a place to place a link before the page is made. --  Roguebfl   talk    contribs    email   01:31, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
I agree that we have two systems in place which opens room for inconsistencies and can confuse. Our current system is:
  • We use the category system throughout the wiki with the aim to have every article and every image in at least one category.
  • In addition we have list articles for some topics. These will also hold red links to wanted articles and extra information.
It would be technically possible to redirect from a category to the corresponding list article as you suggested. This might reduce confusion, but it might also create more confusion because it is not what people expect when they click on a category link. --Spankart (talk) 20:54, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

List format[edit]

Just noticed how terribly flawed this layout is. Line spaces, and the lack of space, are all in the wrong places. Can this be adjusted so there is a line space ABOVE each capital letter of the alphabet (A, B, C...) and delete the needless spaces BELOW the ruled lines? The first can be done manually, the second can not. -- Jameslovebirch 15:39, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Yes, done. I fixed it by changing the ListHead templates to normal headings, as we had done before in List of passive verbs. In the long run I would like us to standardize all alphabetic lists. I personally like this combination of ListContents instead of the normal TOC, and standard headings -- it looks good and works well. --Spankart (talk) 22:16, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
I edited the {{ListHead}} back in to try out a change in the code, I got rid of the line below revoert my edit if that change isn't satisfactory 8) --  Roguebfl   talk    contribs    email   22:52, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

up to date?[edit]

How up to date is this? Pain4Fem and Lupus are listed, and the last I heard neither was still operating. Or is my information wrong? 2601:C2:201:4612:7C31:919B:B00D:8717 22:14, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

The list is a historical archive that catalogs past and present companies. -- Jameslovebirch (talk) 11:07, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
