Stuffed toy

A stuffed toy is a toy sewn from a textile, and stuffed with a soft material. In North American English they are variously referred to as plush toys, plushies, stuffies, or stuffed animals while in British English they are soft toys or cuddly toys.

A classic example is the teddy bear.

Plushophilia

Plushophilia (from "plushie" and "-philia") is a paraphilia involving stuffed animals. Plushophiles are sometimes called plushies, although this term (plushies) can also refer to non-sexual stuffed animal enthusiasts, and to stuffed animals in general.
