A strap-on dildo (also strap-on or dildo harness) is a dildo designed to be worn, usually with a harness, during sexual activity. It allows the wearer, who is usually female, to penetrate and stimulate their partner with the dildo in a way that resembles penetration and stimulation with a penis. However strap-on dildos can also be used by males, and different designs and usage forms exist to also provide stimulation to the wearer.

Strap-on dildos and BDSM

Strap-on dildos can also be used in BDSM play. A classic example is pegging, where a woman penetrates a man's or woman's anus with a strap-on dildo.

Pegging is frequently a reward for a male or female submissive sexual partner who demonstrates loyalty to a mistress through gifts and obedience.
