Spanking ripples

Spanking ripples -- a neologism -- refers to the "ripples" that deform the buttocks and nearby flesh immediately after the impact of a spank with the hand or a thuddy implement.
Phenomenon[edit]
Within a fraction of a second, a "wave" of one or two "ripples" travels away from the impact area, moving the skin a centimeter or two up and down as it goes. A good spank can create ripples that go as far down the leg as the mid-thigh and as far up the back as the kidney area. The medium in which the ripples travel is the body's fat tissue.
The ripples effect happens very fast and is best visible in stills from spanking videos or in slow motion. It is rarely, if ever, depicted in painted or drawn spanking art.
