Promotions[edit]

What happened to the April 11 promotions ([1])? --Spankart 22:19, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

You removed them when you reverted to Banjo's edit, in order to restore an internal link. Remember, when you use the rollback tool, you undo ALL edits by a given user-ID or IP address, back to the first edit by a different ID/IP. This is one reason to be very careful with rollback. -Mercy (talk) 23:42, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Why were all the promotions erased? If no one objects I'll put them back (done). -- Q 18:53 (EST.), 11 April 2006

I think they were removed by accident, in the process of undoign a change from an internal to an external link. Thanks for replacing them. -Mercy (talk) 23:42, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Yes, it was my mistake, an accident. Sorry, Q, and thanks Mercy for the info. --Spankart 17:07, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Vintage spanking photo[edit]

Does anyone know where to find a better version of this nice vintage F/f spanking photo? Spankart 15:03, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Bot spam[edit]

As you all surely have noticed, we're experiencing increasing bot spam in this wiki since a couple of weeks. I am considering introducing technical countermeasures such as captchas. What do you other guys think? Spankart 21:04, 11 April 2008 (BST)

yes please I've seen drastic drop in such bot actives on other wikis were this has been implmented and is only a minor annoyance --Roguebfl (talk) 21:09, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Okay, then I'll go and ask Stoner or Ai to install the ConfirmEdit extension. Spankart 22:12, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Ah the Math variant! hopefully we will now see far less spam --Roguebfl (talk) 22:40, 12 April 2008 (BST)

Wikinode[edit]

Do we want to partispate in Wikinode ? --Roguebfl (talk) 04:39, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Good idea, thanks. --> Spanking Art:WikiNode. --Spankart (talk) 11:55, 19 May 2009 (BST)

Geocities[edit]

Yahoo is closing Geocities, so soon we will need to got though and note all out geocities links. If you have any favorite 'abandoned' site on geocities, I recommend archiving those links you want to keep. --Roguebfl (talk) 09:35, 14 May 2009 (BST)

Thanks, Rogue. Ideally we should change those links to the latest (or most complete) version archived on archive.org. I only found 9 Geocities links here in the wiki. --Spankart (talk) 13:45, 14 May 2009 (BST)

Popular artists but stubs[edit]

I noted that we have a couple of articles on artists which are highly popular (in terms of page views) but whose articles are stubs with very little contents.

Anyone who can add contents to these stubs, please do so. --Spankart (talk) 07:18, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Main Page - edits needed[edit]

On the Main Page, "Forum/" should be deleted from the Newest Pages category. It is a pointless blank page that serves no purpose other than taking up a coveted parking space reserved for legitimate entries.

We can't remove individual items from that list, it's automatically updated via the DynamicPageList extension. The blank page Forum/ was created by RobM and edit-protected in an attempt to stop bot spam. Just ignore it for the moment. --Spankart (talk) 21:19, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
The Solution is of course to Create Real content pages, that will knock it off the new pages list 8) —Roguebfl (talk) 22:38, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Thumbnail creation broken[edit]

The image thumbnail creation seems to be no longer working since today. Error message: Error creating thumbnail: /home/animeotk/public_html/spankingartwiki/w/bin/ulimit4.sh: line 4: /usr/bin/convert: No such file or directory. I have informed Ai and Stoner by e-mail and asked for their help. --Spankart (talk) 13:59, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

I also noted that a new section "Metadata" is displayed on Image:SAMMY SIMPKINS EINSTEIN copy.jpg, but not on my test upload Image:Barbossasdaughter Cowboy and Indian.jpg. --Spankart (talk) 14:09, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Probably related to the Server move. We should should now bee see a lack of 500/503 Errors now 8) As to the test uploaded, does the test image even have metadata? optimized images have the meta data removed. --Roguebfl (talk) 17:52, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Right, that's the reason, the test upload image did not have any metadata at all. --Spankart (talk) 20:26, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Server repairs etc[edit]

In the future, if you're going to take the site offline for whatever reason, please post some sort of advance notice on the home page that explains what's going on and how long it will take. This same thing happened over the 3-day weekend two weeks ago. Both times I, and probably everyone else, wondered if the site had been permanently removed (again) by the host provider.

I fully agree. Usually planned (or possible) server downtimes are announced ahead on Anime OTK -- I don't visit Anime OTK regularly however, so I'm not informed myself. If anyone here is a regular visitor to Anime OTK, it would be really nice if you could write a short message on my talk page, or edit Template:News, to inform the wiki regulars if you hear about anything that will or might affect the availability of this wiki. Also, for the future, if both this wiki is down and www.animeotk.com, please check on Stoner's OTK Server blog for messages (bookmark this link). --Spankart (talk) 09:53, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Also, please delete tongue as it's obviously just a piece of stupid vandalism. Jameslovebirch 19:39, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Stoner has recently create http://otk-server.blogspot.com/ For just his purpose. --Roguebfl (talk) 11:54, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Done. --Spankart (talk) 09:53, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

IE9[edit]

Now that IE9 has been pushed out to anyone who has set up automatic updates, We should keep an eye out for any problems with it with the wiki. --72.189.142.156 18:06, 13 April 2011 (BST)

Portals[edit]

I just saw the Images Portal on the new Femdom-Wiki. What do you think, should we add something like that here too? And maybe other portals as well? An artists portal, an authors portal, a film/video portal, a history portal, an implements portal, ...? --Spankart (talk) 18:25, 9 June 2011 (BST)
