Omorashi (おもらし / オモラシ / お漏らし) is a fetish subculture recognized predominantly in Japan, in which participants experience arousal from having a full urinary bladder or seeing someone else experiencing the feeling of a full bladder. The word omorashi means to wet oneself, literally translated, "leaking." The word is also occasionally romanized as omorasi in the Kunrei-shiki romanization system.
Outside of Japan, it is not usually distinguished from urolagnia (urine fetish), though they are different things - a urine fetish can involve simply watching someone pee, for example, while omorashi focuses on the experience of a full bladder. Westerners who do make the distinction commonly use phrases such as bladder desperation or panty wetting.
Omorashi has close connections to other fetishes. Embarrassment and shame are key elements of omorashi besides the physical discomfort of trying to hold back urination, and after losing that struggle the trouble and knowledge of having soiled one's clothes.
Omorashi can be easily combined with BDSM settings. For example, the submissive is not permitted to use a bathroom (verbally or physically by being locked into a room, cell or cage, or put in bondage) and forbidden to urinate for a prolonged time. Their suffering increases as the pressure builds inside their bladder. After they finally can't hold it any longer and wet themselves, they can then be punished for it.
Wetting oneself and spanking
A person can also lose control of their bladder while they are being spanked.
Bladder rupture may occur if the bladder is overfilled and not emptied. This happens in extreme situations only, e.g. when under stupor after alcohol intoxication. The famous Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe is believed to have died after a bladder rupture resulting in uremia, after he had refused to leave a banquet to relieve himself because it would have been a breach of etiquette.
