List of spanking photographers
A spanking photographer is a photographer who is well-known for his or her photographic spanking art. This definition includes professional, semi-professional and nonprofessional photographers.
In addition to spanking photos, these photographers often also specialize in other genres, such as erotic, fetish, bondage and/or other photographic BDSM art. The works of spanking photographers are published in books, spanking magazines and exhibited in Web galleries of free and pay sites.
In vintage spanking photography (the early 20th century), spanking models were practically always anonymous. Some vintage spanking photographers also occasionally worked with underage spanking models. For photos that involved a degree of nudity (e.g. a bare bottom), they typically employed poses and views that did not show the model's face.
Nowadays, for ethical and legal reasons, legal spanking photography is always adult spanking art (F/F, M/F, F/M, M/M, /F, /M), although they sometimes contain ageplay elements such as school uniforms that let the photo models, who are at least 18 years of age, appear younger (or at least make it easier for the viewer to imagine they were younger).
Well-known fashion photographers who have often used bondage and spanking imagery in their published work include Helmut Newton (1920–2004), Ellen Von Unwerth and David LaChapelle (who has also directed several controversial music videos).
