Kentucky Woman (1983) is a made-for-television movie directed by Walter Doniger. It stars Cheryl Ladd, Ned Beatty, and Peter Weller.
Ladd plays a waitress who takes on a higher paying job as a coal miner in order to support her family. Needless to say, she is not welcomed into this rough-and-tumble all-male environment and struggles to gain acceptance and respect from her co-workers.
The spanking scene
As part of her initiation into the world of coal mining, Ladd has to submit to a humiliating ritual that resembles a fraternity/sorority hazing. After being covered in grease, she has to bend over for a spanking with a crude wood paddle made from a board. She receives three hard smacks before the scene is interrupted.
