Alceo. The two nude figures were added to the painting Sappho And Alcaeus by Lawrence Alma-Tadema (1881) (hi-res) and the man playing the lyre was converted into a spanker.

The Italian Spanking Art Pages is an Italian spanking website by Danilo and Paolo that had two phases.

The original site (1999-2007)[edit]

The site was originally a free site launched in 1999 at the URL http://danhang.sexusa.net/ Link broken. It featured, among other things, a web gallery of original erotic M/F and F/F spanking art. All of the spankees were adult women; there was no man spanking art or child spanking art.

The artworks exhibited were created by Danilo using skilled Photoshop techniques to create a spanking art image by retouching and combining a non-spanking art fine art painting with figures taken from other paintings or photographs - an approach known as spanking fakes.

There was also Scuola (school), a tutorial on how to create retouched artwork like the ones exhibited, and some Italian language spanking stories.

The website contained adult material that is erotic but not pornographic. It was free but AVS protected. The site went offline in April 2007.

Relaunch (2011)[edit]

In 2011, a relaunch of the site was made under the URL http://www.italian-spanking-art-pages.com/ , but only half of it is still free and the other half is now a pay site.

Variations on a theme[edit]

The mission of this type of digital work (- spanking fakes -) is to change the atmosphere to a painting that already exists. Change the mood in such a way that the situational ( and therefore the picture itself ) become another thing. The changes are so profound that, they have almost no connection with the 'original. The characters and objects are used as if they were notes on a keyboard. By changing the placement and intensity will change the melody el 'expression, and then the song. This somehow brings us closer to "art", and makes personal the "fakes"

After Spankart showed Danilo links related to the English painter Marcus Stone (1840 – 1921), Danilo saw a picture that was calling him. "It seemed that the woman shouted at me ... spanks me, spanking me, spanking me. Well I have listened e. .. like a symphony, I made some variations on the theme. :-)
