CC-BY is a Creative Commons copyleft license that allows any use of the work (including alterations and commercial use) as long as the user gives credit to the original author or artist.

It is similar to CC-BY-SA, but does not include the "share-alike" condition which demands that any derived work must also be released under the same license.
